Postcards for direct mail campaigns are still a good way to get your message out to potential customers. 2016 promises to be an even better year for your direct mail postcards campaigns.
The United States Post Office (USPS) has had a couple of years under it's belt with their Every Door Direct Mail or EDDM service. The service seems to run more smoothly which adds efficiency to it's cost effectiveness. I prefer this method of delivering targeted marketing materials to specific postal routes.
No mailing list is required. The mail piece is delivered to "Every Door" on a giving mailing route.
No permit is required. Each mail piece is printed with a special retail indica.
The postage for each piece is super affordable at just 17.5 cents each.
There is however some complicating factors such as acceptable sizes, layouts and how you must prepare your mailing for delivery. More can be found regarding the specifications here.
What I find most excited is that small businesses are understanding the importance of combining on-line, mobile and social campaigns with their mailings. This can make a big difference in the response rate of your direct mail campaigns.
